Yesterday was the Garden Conservancy's Los Angeles Open Day. I volunteered in one of the gardens in the afternoon, so I went on the tour in the morning. The homes on this tour were more modest than last week's Pasadena tour, except for "El Sueno", a beautiful Spanish colonial revival mansion that looks like it was built in the 1920s, but was actually constructed within the last ten years. The other homes were charming too; much more within the average person's "doability" range. These tours are very inspiring; it makes me appreciate that I have a lovely garden at home to spend time in. Hope you have one, too!

This house was amazing, but it wasn't really on the tour :)

Chava, you have such a knack for catching the lovely things that most people wouldn't even see! Really enjoyed the pic's....and I'm really enjoying our spring weather before the heat starts!
