I was on holiday break from work last week and went on vacation to south Florida.  I stayed in a resort in Weston, which is about 15 miles west of Fort Lauderdale, but traveled all over the area (I put hundreds of miles on my rental car!).  Below is a large sampling of photos from my adventure; I may add a few more in my next posting.  Enjoy.

Driving home at night

The days are short this time of year and most of the time I drive home from work in the dark.  Here are some creative views of my commute. Enjoy.

Chanuka, sunsets, and mystery city

Today I'm posting a variety of photos:  a couple from Chanuka, a couple from a deep red sunset this evening, and a couple from the city I visited two weeks ago to attend a wedding (can you guess where I was?)

Sky views

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I'm busy, busy making pies and cooking side dishes.  But I haven't posted in a couple of weeks and wanted to share some photos of amazing skies I've seen lately.  So without further ado, have a happy and meaningful holiday and enjoy the view.

LA Arts District Tour

I was volunteering again today - LA Conservancy had a tour of the LA Arts District, located on the east side of downtown LA.  It's a section of town that used to be an industrial and manufacturing center.  Now a lot of the former factories and warehouses have been converted into lofts and live-and-work studios.  It's not really the type of place I'd like to live - too urban, not enough trees or gardens - but it's an interesting place to visit :)

Here are some of my photo impressions of the area on the tour.  Enjoy.
